Job summary

The People Of: Professional Services is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate (3-5 years' experience) to join its transactional finance team in Texas. You will work on sophisticated lending transactions, from due diligence through closing, across multiple asset classes.

Ideal candidates hold a JD, with strong drafting and negotiation skills, and have experience in real estate-backed, securities-backed, or asset-based lending structures. Texas Bar preferred or willingness to obtain admission.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial finance or secured lending within a law firm.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with loan documents, due diligence, and closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial lending and secured finance transactions.
• Conduct and manage due diligence for lending matters.
• Draft and negotiate loan, security, and collateral documents.
• Coordinate closing processes and deliverables with internal/external teams.
• Support deal execution across real estate, securities, and asset-based facilities.
