Job summary

Lennox in Richardson, TX, is seeking a full-time National Accounts Training Specialist to join our corporate office. You will develop and deliver advanced training for HVAC professionals, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide field technicians with expert knowledge and coaching.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer two-year college degree, HVAC degree or equivalent.
  • Typically requires at least 5 years of relevant training experience in addition to at least 5 years of technical experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of assigned products and the application of diagnostic techniques and service aids.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply learning theories to classroom situations.
  • Developed presentation skills using a variety of technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • An individual must have sales ability and a track record of fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficient in leading WebEx meetings.

Responsibilities

What Drives Success

This is a full-time support career opportunity that provides moderately complex technical assistance to our National Accounts for Commercial HVAC units. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial field technician with rooftop unit expertise to transition into a corporate office environment while continuing to apply advanced technical and troubleshooting skills. In this position, you will support field technicians by handling incoming calls related to unit start‑up, diagnostics, and technical troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with a team of senior technicians to help resolve complex issues and provide high–level technical guidance to industry professionals in the field.   • This role will support National Accounts.
  • Under limited supervision, develops and delivers training courses for training customers or technical employees in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC products.
  • Troubleshoots technical inquiries.
  • Identifies customer needs.
  • Investigates and resolves technical inquiries.
  • Develops, test, and maintain courses and materials used in training.
  • Establishes course content and student learning objectives.
  • May prepare course syllabi, lesson plans, and student manuals, and coordinate the development of training aids.
  • Reviews problem areas and identifies training needs.
  • Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Updates course materials continuously to ensure timeliness and relevance.
  • Conducts training using all methods of delivery.
  • May provide direction to entry‑level technical trainers.
  • Schedules travel using Concur for customer support.
  • Up to 60% travel to National Accounts.

What We Offer

Compensation : This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $80,800 to $106,050 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
