Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services seeks a Senior Estimator in Owings Mills, MD to own our largest, most complex opportunities from initial drawing review through signed proposals.

You will prepare detailed estimates for stairs, railings, structural steel, and architectural metals, perform quantity takeoffs, and build complete project costs. The role includes site visits, compliance reviews, and guiding bid strategy.

Formación

• 7+ years of construction estimating experience.
• 5+ years estimating structural steel, miscellaneous metals, ornamental metals, architectural metals, or related fabrication trades.
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Working knowledge of stair, guardrail, and handrail code requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed estimates for stairs, railings, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and architectural metals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Excel.
• Build complete project costs including materials, fabrication labor, finishes, installation, engineering, permits, and equipment.
• Visit renovation sites to survey existing conditions and develop repair or replacement pricing.
• Review projects for IBC and ADA compliance and identify code-related concerns.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Senior Estimator, you'll own our largest and most complex opportunities from initial drawing review through signed proposal.

You'll:

• Prepare detailed estimates for stairs, railings, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and architectural metals
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Excel
• Build complete project costs including materials, fabrication labor, finishes, installation, engineering, permits, and equipment
• Visit renovation sites to survey existing conditions and develop repair or replacement pricing
• Review projects for IBC and ADA compliance and identify code-related concerns
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Create professional proposals and support negotiations through award
• Provide guidance on bid strategy and strategic pursuits
• Review junior estimator work and maintain estimating quality standards
• Partner with Project Management to ensure smooth project turnover
• Analyze estimate-to-actual performance and continuously improve pricing accuracy
• Maintain opportunities and pipeline activity in HubSpot and Procore

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 7+ years of construction estimating experience
• 5+ years estimating structural steel, miscellaneous metals, ornamental metals, architectural metals, or related fabrication trades
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and shop production requirements
• Working knowledge of stair, guardrail, and handrail code requirements
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore a must
• Proven track record of accurate, profitable bids
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Valid driver's license

Bonus Points For:

• Multifamily or Commercial renovation project experience
• Existing relationships with Mid-Atlantic property managers, contractors, or engineers
• Construction Management or Engineering degree
