Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Field Service Technician specializing in commercial entry systems in Ohio. You will install, maintain, and repair industrial doors, dock equipment, and electronic access hardware to keep facilities secure and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, high-level diagnostics, and customer consultations. You will document activities and perform QA testing to ensure reliability and long-term performance on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in commercial door or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform precise calculations.
• Capability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders in field environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise installations and troubleshooting of commercial door systems, dock levelers, and high-performance hardware.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, performing component-level repairs on springs, closers, and access control systems.
• Configure low-voltage systems and electronic entry hardware to meet specific facility security requirements.
• Validate that all site work adheres to rigorous building codes and safety regulations.
• Deliver professional consultations to clients, explaining technical findings and recommending cost-effective, long-term solutions.
• Document service activities, repair logs, and installation data to maintain accurate facility maintenance records.
• Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing on all completed projects to ensure peak performance and reliability.
