Job summary

Under the supervision of the Academic Affairs Director, the Instructor will be responsible teaching for students through hands-on projects and theory in safety, math, and other basics of Residential and Commercial Electricity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in hands-on trades tasks
• Provide evaluation of students’ on hands-on activities.
• Provide testing of students’ knowledge of theory
• Prepare curricula materials
• Utilize varying delivery methods and media to keep students engaged with the lesson for the full class day
• Ensure that safety, classroom and school rules are followed consistently and take appropriate measures when they are not
• Ensure that classroom and shop areas are kept clean and orderlyMaintain student attendance and grade rosters
• Ensure that a professional training environment is maintained in the classroom and shop areas at all times
• Place orders for supplies and materials according to school policy in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progression of instruction
• Perform related duties and assignments as required

Position Details

This position is part-time, Monday and Tuesdays, 5:30PM to 10:15pm.

Part-time instructor pay rate is $32.50

The base pay for this position is $32.50/hr. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
