Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvements across California. The role involves installation of conduit, wiring, control panels, and coordination with foremen on diverse projects.

The candidate should have at least four years in commercial construction and be willing to travel to multiple jobsites, including overnight assignments, with physical work and heights as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience in commercial construction.
• Willingness to commute to multiple Southern California sites.
• Availability for third shifts or overnight schedules as needed.
• Physically able to perform demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex.
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components per specs and codes.
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, and control equipment.
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and system malfunctions.
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred).
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings for accurate installs.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet schedule.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvement projects at various stages of construction.

Schedule

• Requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and the ability to travel for extended assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in commercial construction
• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
