Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support tenant improvement projects across the Hawaiian Islands. This full-time role requires flexibility for overnight shifts and travel between islands.

You will install conduit, wire, panels, and control systems, read blueprints, and collaborate with foremen to keep projects on schedule. Minimum four years of commercial electrical experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, MC, Romex) per specs and code.
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components.
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, and control equipment.
• Build, install, troubleshoot control panels and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues and system malfunctions.
• Read blueprints/schematics and coordinate with foremen and other trades.

Job Overview

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support tenant improvement projects throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts and travel assignments between the islands.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex.
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes.
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment.
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions.
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred).
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of electrical commercial construction experience.
• Ability to commute to various jobsites.
• Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather.

Salary Description

$26 to $47 per hour based on experience.
