Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvements across California.

The role involves welding, wiring, and control systems on diverse commercial projects, with overnight shifts and travel as needed. Candidates should have at least four years of commercial construction experience, be able to commute to Southern California sites, and perform physically demanding work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in commercial construction.
• Ability to commute to multiple Southern California job sites.
• Willingness to work third shifts or overnight as needed.
• Physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs and stair climbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, MC, Romex).
• Install wiring, raceways, boxes, and electrical components per specs and codes.
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, and transformers.
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical installations and system malfunctions.
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred).
• Read blueprints and schematics to ensure correct installation.
• Coordinate with foremen and trades to meet schedules.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvement projects at various stages of construction throughout California.

Schedule

• Requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and the ability to travel for extended assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in commercial construction
• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
