Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvements across California. The role requires 4+ years of experience and the ability to travel to multiple sites, with flexibility for overnight shifts.

Applicants must be prepared for physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces. The company emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong customer partnerships across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction electrical work.
• Ability to commute to multiple job sites throughout Southern California.
• Willingness to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed.
• Capable of performing physical work and using PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, MC, Romex).
• Wire, install raceways, boxes, and electrical components per plans and codes.
• Terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Build and troubleshoot control panels; diagnose electrical issues.
• Assist with Ansul system and refrigeration/HVAC motor control wiring (preferred).
• Read blueprints and coordinate with foremen and trades to stay on schedule.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate installations.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support new construction and tenant improvement projects at various stages of construction throughout California.

Schedule

• Requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and the ability to travel for extended assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in commercial construction
• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
