Responsibilities

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Inspect and replace old wiring and cables to prevent system breakdowns
• Perform troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician
• Ability to work a 40-hour week with weekend overtime as needed
• Reliable transportation
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Ability to use electrical and hand tools and read blueprints
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Physical fitness to work long shifts and overnight
• Diploma or apprenticeship as an electrician
