Job summary

Stones River Electric seeks an experienced Commercial Electrical Service Estimator to analyze site conditions, price maintenance projects, service updates, and tenant improvements. You will translate field realities into accurate cost structures and deliver competitive client proposals.

The role requires strong NEC knowledge, the ability to read one-lines and panel schedules, and proficiency with Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of commercial electrical experience.
• Journeyman Wireman (JW) or Foreman license/experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical one-lines and panel schedules.
• Experience building pricing models from field concepts without full drawings.
• Solid NEC knowledge to ensure code-compliant pricing.
• Able to translate field notes into professional client proposals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software a plus (Accubid, ConEst, McCormick).
• Must have valid driver’s license and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Analyze scope via site walk-throughs and review layouts to define service scope.
• Develop pricing breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and permits.
• Create structured, professional client proposals from field evaluations and sketches.
• Price full NEC-compliant solutions, not just surface sketches.
• Coordinate vendor quotes from local distributors and subcontractors to optimize profitability.
