Delaware County Supply, a family-owned leader in architectural building materials, seeks an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Operations Manager to lead the Hollow Metal Door & Hardware Department in Boothwyn, PA. This hands-on leadership role focuses on performance, customer satisfaction, and growth, with a strong compensation package and profit sharing.

The ideal candidate understands hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware inside and out, reviews drawings and specifications, and guides

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with commercial hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware.
• Ability to review plans, specifications, and hardware schedules.
• Experience bidding, estimating, and coordinating projects.
• Proven leadership and mentorship of a department team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Hollow Metal Door & Hardware Department.
• Oversee bidding, estimates, quotations, and project workflows.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, door schedules, and hardware schedules.
• Manage purchasing, material ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Coordinate commercial projects from award through completion.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, deliveries, and change orders.
• Collaborate with our hollow metal shop to ensure production efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Train, mentor, and support team members while sharing knowledge.

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Hollow Metal Door & Hardware Department
• Oversee commercial bidding, estimates, quotations, and project workflows
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, door schedules, and hardware schedules
• Manage purchasing, material ordering, and supplier relationships
• Coordinate commercial projects from award through completion
• Monitor budgets, schedules, deliveries, and change orders
• Provide technical expertise on commercial doors, frames, and hardware applications
• Work directly with contractors, architects, vendors, and customers
• Collaborate with our custom hollow metal shop to ensure efficient production workflow, quality standards, scheduling, and on-time delivery
• Train, mentor, and support team members while sharing industry knowledge
• Improve processes, efficiency, and overall department performance
• Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and profitably

What You Bring

• Extensive experience with commercial hollow metal doors, frames, and architectural hardware
• Experience reviewing commercial construction documents, drawings, specifications, and hardware schedules
• Strong knowledge of Division 8 products and applications
• Experience with bidding, estimating, project coordination, purchasing, and material management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and project outcomes
• Desire to lead by example and remain actively involved in department operations

Important

Direct commercial hollow metal door, frame, and architectural hardware experience is required.

This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to residential doors, general construction, or unrelated building products.
