Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Door & Hardware Detailer to translate project specifications into precise deliverables for commercial construction. The role involves preparing submittals, creating hardware schedules, and coordinating with manufacturers and distributors to ensure code-compliant, on-time project execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience detailing doors, frames, and hardware, with strong Division 8 knowledge and proficiency in detailing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience detailing commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware.
• Strong knowledge of Division 8 products and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and door schedules.
• Familiarity with building codes, fire-rated openings, ADA compliance, and life-safety requirements.
• Experience with detailing software, hardware scheduling programs, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, door schedules, and contract documents.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Door & Hardware Detailer with experience in Division 8 products to support commercial construction projects from award through execution.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of commercial doors, frames, architectural hardware, and building code requirements who enjoys working closely with sales, project management, contractors, and manufacturers.
