Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment, a John Deere dealer, is seeking a delivery driver to operate a semi-trailer, transport equipment, and assist with deliveries to customers and dealer facilities across Ohio. You will maintain logs, uphold safety standards, and verify signatures for receipts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a semi-trailer truck operator.
• Experience hauling irregular/oversized loads.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of proper load securement techniques.
• Valid CDL Class driver’s license required.
• Driving record meeting insurance parameters.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment to/from customers and between dealer facilities; may pick up new equipment from a supplier.
• Support sales with equipment delivery as needed.
• Maintain records of pickups and deliveries with signatures/receipts.
• Maintain certifications per DOT, OSHA, and company policy.
• Account for all time and distance traveled in duties.
• Instruct customers on basic equipment operation as required.
• Inspect assigned equipment and report repairs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow safety rules.

Purpose** :**

Operate vehicles to safely transport equipment for the dealership. During delivery, this person may instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities** : **

• Transport equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick up new equipment from a supplier.
• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed.
• Maintains records of pickup and deliveries as directed by TRULAND Equipment and obtains any necessary signatures and receipts.
• Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy as requested by TRULAND
• Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
• May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required.
• Maintain a regular inspection of the assigned equipment and immediately report anything on the equipment in need of repair.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge** : **

• 3+ years’ experience as semi-trailer truck operator.
• Experience in hauling irregular and oversized loads.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of proper load securement techniques.
• Valid CDL Class driver’s license required.
• Driving record that meets insurance company parameters.
• Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
