RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage the ongoing credit risk of existing loan portfolios through continuous credit monitoring (CCM) activities, enabling the timely identification of emerging credit risks to take appropriate actions to manage risk, minimize losses, and assign accurate risk ratings. CCM activities include, but are not limited to, annual reviews (PLRs and Guarantor Assessments), interim update memos, covenant monitoring, problem loan management, early warning indicators, and other credit surveillance methods.
  2. Review all relevant credit and financial information, such as financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit bureau reports, appraisals, internal credit data, industry research, and peer data. Determine if further investigation or additional information is needed.

Provide written analyses with independent credit quality assessments, well-supported risk ratings, identification of credit risks and mitigants, industry concerns, market trends, financial trends, and other relevant credit issues.
  4. Collaborate proactively with relationship managers and the underwriting team to maintain timely and accurate risk ratings for a portfolio of commercial credits.
  5. Distribute financial statements and prepare financial models to assess various conditions impacting transactions. Prepare cash flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, financial models, and guarantor statement analyses as needed.
  6. Monitor the credit performance of customer portfolios and escalate or remediate issues as appropriate.
  7. Ensure the timeliness of monitoring activities and compliance with credit policies by verifying adherence and commenting on any risks associated with non-compliance.
  8. Present analyses or respond to questions during credit discussions or presentations.
  9. Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with company and regulatory standards and policies.
  10. Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
