Job summary

Kearny Bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support underwriting and risk assessment of new and existing commercial loans in line with established policies and procedures.

You will analyze financial information, calculate key ratios, and prepare credit risk and loan offering memoranda to support sound credit decisions. Collaboration with lenders throughout the process is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance or business preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of financial analysis required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information for new and existing commercial borrowers and calculate key financial ratios.
• Prepare credit risk and loan offering memoranda with analysis of borrower condition and risk.
• Review and analyze loan files for completeness and accuracy and submit for approval.
• Identify requests not meeting standards and escalate to management.
• Obtain required credit, collateral and information to support underwriting.
• Assist with obtaining financial information from borrowers for ongoing credit analysis.
• Communicate loan status and underwriting requirements with lenders.
• Prepare and maintain required credit documentation and reports.
