Job summary

Legend Bank NA is seeking a Credit Analyst who will evaluate commercial and personal financial data to assess loan creditworthiness and support sound lending decisions. You will gather, analyze, and interpret financial information, and prepare credit presentations and recommendations for loan committees.

The role requires collaboration with lenders, management, and regulatory compliance teams to ensure prudent lending practices and adherence to bank policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics required.
• Minimum 2+ years of commercial credit analysis or related financial analysis experience.
• Experience analyzing commercial and personal financial statements and tax returns.
• Experience preparing credit memorandums and loan recommendations.
• Experience evaluating collateral, cash flow, and loan structure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan requests by assessing repayment capacity, liquidity, leverage, profitability, collateral adequacy, and credit risk.
• Prepare credit presentations, loan memorandums, and loan committee materials with key risks and mitigations.
• Present analyses and recommendations to loan committees and management.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct portfolio monitoring, including annual reviews and covenant tracking.
• Assist in development and maintenance of credit administration procedures.
