Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst Intern to join our credit analyst teams and develop core skills through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.

The role involves performing fundamental credit analysis, spreading financial information, and assisting with loan presentations while collaborating with Operations, Relationship Management, and Loan Documentation to understand the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must be a current university student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental credit analysis tasks
• Participate in corporate internship program activities such as educational workshops, social events, and community outreach, and bank-wide intern project
• Engage with personnel in other bank departments including Operations, Relationship Management, and Loan Documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the loan lifecycle and build cross-functional relationships
• Assisting in the preparation of loan presentation packets (credit memos) for new credit requests, loan renewals and annual reviews
• Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers, related entities, and guarantors.
• Aid in ongoing monitoring of loan covenants to ensure that borrowers remain in compliance with all covenants as specified in the loan agreement.
• Verify accuracy of financial information in credit systems
• Completion of a department specific project
