Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC, Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Commercial Counsel for Starlink to provide legal review and counseling to cross-functional partners on complex matters in the United States and internationally.

You will draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements for satellite internet and related services, guide the product lifecycle with growth and product teams, and oversee global terms of service.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 4+ years of legal experience.
• Experience at a well-regarded law firm.
• In-house tech industry experience with product and sales teams.
• Experience managing legal issues for a high-growth multinational company.
• Experience providing legal advice related to commercial technology transactions, ideally internationally.
• Experience negotiating contracts with international governments and multilateral entities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial agreements related to satellite internet and connectivity.
• Identify and mitigate legal risk by implementing processes, trainings, and controls for the Starlink teams.
• Provide analyses of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance in consumer protection and telecom.
• Counsel on product lifecycle from development to end-of-life, launches and updates.
• Manage Starlink terms of service globally for residential and business products.
• Improve forms, policies, and deal terms to streamline contracts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze risks and advise management.
