Attentive is an AI-powered marketing platform for 1:1 personalization with a global team and flexible location. We seek a Commercial Counsel to draft and review software agreements and vendor contracts, partnering with revenue, marketing, finance, people, and product teams.

The role emphasizes strong business judgment, practical risk assessment, and timely guidance to support growth. Location is flexible; Central Time schedule preferred to align with core hours.

Qualifications

• JD required and eligible to practice in-house in NY or home state.
• At least four years of commercial legal experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS and other technology agreements.
• Ability to provide pragmatic, business-friendly legal recommendations under tight deadlines.
• Empathetic, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Adtech/Martech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and review SaaS agreements and Data Protection Agreements with clients and vendors.
• Identify, investigate, and manage legal risk across product, marketing, and business initiatives.
• Engage in customer-facing communication regarding contracts.
• Help formulate legal policy and processes as the organization grows.
• Remain knowledgeable on relevant privacy laws and regulations.
