Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Commercial Counsel, Hardware to help move fast on hardware, components, software, and emerging technology procurement, while guiding product teams through complex deals.

You will negotiate high-volume agreements, collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Legal, and help navigate export controls, sanctions, and supply chain risks, ensuring fast but compliant decisions.

Qualifications

• JD and active state bar membership (California preferred).
• Experience negotiating high-volume hardware and firmware deals.
• Experience leading complex technology or data licensing and supply partnerships.
• Knowledge of international supply chains and contract risk considerations.
• Familiarity with trade controls, sanctions, tariffs and customs.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close a high volume of hardware and component agreements, including embedded firmware licenses.
• Structure and negotiate technology, data, and partnership deals.
• Track regulatory changes affecting hardware products and explain implications.
• Identify export controls and supply chain risks in cross-border sourcing; work with compliance teams.
• Develop self-serve guidance, templates, and review tools to speed routine purchases.
