The ideal candidate will lead negotiations, advise stakeholders on legal risk, and manage a broad portfolio of commercial agreements including MSAs, procurement, and SOWs.

You will collaborate with legal, procurement, sales, and business teams to standardize contracts, improve processes, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Bar license and good standing.
  • 5 to 7 years of commercial contracting experience.
  • Proven experience independently negotiating master sales agreements and procurement agreements.
  • Strong background supporting technology, fintech, SaaS, or financial services organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on MSAs, procurement, SOWs, and licenses.
  • Lead contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk allocation, and compliance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to support a high-volume commercial contracting environment. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded attorney with strong transactional experience, capable of independently leading negotiations, advising stakeholders on legal risk, and managing a broad range of commercial agreements. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with legal, procurement, sales, and business teams while contributing to process improvement and contract standardization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial agreements, including:
  • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
  • Procurement and vendor agreements
  • Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Licensing agreements
  • Other commercial contracts and related documentation
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify legal and commercial risks and develop practical business solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk allocation, and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage a high volume of agreements while maintaining responsiveness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams to streamline contracting processes and support business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, contract standardization, and operational efficiency.
