Job summary

Vercel is seeking a keen and enthusiastic attorney based in San Francisco to join our small but mighty Legal team. You will partner with Sales, Partnerships, Procurement and cross‑functional teams to negotiate commercial contracts with customers, vendors, and partners.

In addition to managing a busy deal pipeline, you will use AI tools to help design and improve processes, playbooks, and programs that increase efficiency and deal velocity so the team can scale with company growth.

Qualifications

• California bar in good standing (or another US jurisdiction).
• 6+ years of legal experience, including 2+ years in-house at a tech company.
• Deep understanding of US privacy regulations and ability to discuss privacy with customers.
• Strong knowledge of AI and cloud services and related global regulatory landscape.
• Experience using AI to build tools, workflows, and processes.
• Excellent judgment with risk assessment and pragmatic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Legal contact for go-to-market and procurement deals with practical guidance.
• Independently manage and negotiate customer, vendor, partnership, and reseller agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable contracting processes and playbooks.
• Draft and update agreement templates, playbooks, and fallback positions.
• Advise on Vercel regional expansion strategies.
• Leverage AI tools to optimize workflows and processes.
• Support additional legal work including EMEA and APAC, or product, privacy, or security initiatives.
