Job summary

K&D Factory Service is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician (Hot Side) to service restaurants and institutions from our Scranton area and other PA branches. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment, report activities via tablet, and provide excellent customer service.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience with gas/steam/electrical/mechanical systems, a clean driving record, and the ability to work on-call with overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of gas, steam, electrical or mechanical systems.
• Clean driving record per safety standards.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• CFESA certification or manufacturer training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform dispatched service calls, diagnose and repair issues on commercial equipment.
• Document service activities accurately on the tablet after each call.
• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting internal teams.
• Work on-call schedule with overtime pay.
• Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment per guidelines.

K&D Factory Service has been servicing the Keystone State since 1945. K&D specializes in the repair of commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and food service equipment in restaurants, schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. Our technicians are servicing the Pennsylvania area out of 7 branches in Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Williamsport, Allentown, Altoona, and Scranton. We are seeking Technicians with 2+ years of industry or related experience to join our team!

What You’ll Do:

• Perform dispatched service calls, diagnose, and repair service issues, and all other problems on commercial equipment
• Report all service activities accurately on the tablet after every call
• Provide an excellent customer experience in supporting customers and partnering with internal team members
• Ability to work on-call schedule (Including overtime pay)
• Operate and manage company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment according to company guidelines

What You Need to Apply:

• 2+ years of experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment or in a related industry
• Strong Knowledge of gas, steam, electrical, or mechanical systems
• Driving record must align with our safety standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset
• CFESA Certification or manufacturer training is a plus!
• Must be 18 years of age
• Completion of a Successful background check and drug screen
