Job summary

Gerdau in the United States seeks a Commercial Contract Specialist to support scrap purchase and sales contracts and related processes. The role works with the Recycling Commercial, Operations, Logistics and Accounting teams to deliver timely results and maintain strong internal controls.

The incumbent will coordinate cross-functional activities, ensure accurate pricing, and manage contract administration from setup through dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related field experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Advanced Excel and SAP are an asset.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with customers and personnel.
• Customer service focus.
• Strong liaising and networking skills.
• Excellent time management and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Self-driven, collaborative, and able to prioritize conflicting demands.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for vendors/customers coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate end-to-end processes to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Validate pricing and reconcile statements; support audits and documentation.
• Manage purchase contracts and vendor/customer accounts; support issue resolution.
• Oversee sales orders from setup to receivable reconciliation.
• Prepare periodic customer reviews and reconciliations and drive process improvements.
