Summary of Position

The primary role of a Project Manager is to carefully plan each phase of the project, create benchmarks and KPIs to ensure awareness, distribute resources to the team, manage the overall budget, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal Construction Project Manager candidate will effectively manage projects to ensure completion within budget, on time, and in compliance with project documents. The Project Manager must be an effective communicator, organized, able to multitask, and a team player.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

1. Assist with developing and maintaining business relationships with Owners, Franchisees, Architects/Engineers, and Contractors (Union and Open).
2. Coordinate the Contractor’s team to provide leadership throughout the project.
3. Participate in preconstruction and bidding processes.
4. Help develop and maintain the project schedule.
5. Attend weekly meetings with the Project Team.
6. Communicate with the Architect, Owner, and Program Manager on all project issues.
7. Organize and prepare for Progress Meetings regularly.
8. Travel to on-site pre-construction meetings, progress visits, and punch walks.
9. Track potential change orders.
10. Review contractor applications for payment.
11. Manage the project close-out process to facilitate timely release of retention.
12. Work on-site in Illinois.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Smartsheets, and other project management tools is a plus.
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Dedicated to high-quality work.
• Trustworthy, self-motivated, independent worker, and a team player.

Minimum Qualifications

• Construction Project Management experience.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous construction projects.
• At least five (5) years of managing restaurant and retail construction projects.
• At least five (5) years of ground-up experience in restaurant and retail construction projects.
• Safety certification required.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
