Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience with general contracting and commercial construction.
  • Experience with restoration and renovation, federal/public/education/government projects is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specs, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Review contracts, plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
  • Manage project buyout, procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Monitor project costs and profitability while identifying potential budget issues.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee restoration and renovation projects minimizing disruption to occupied facilities when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements on public and government projects.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, conflicts, and scheduling challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide updates to leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Oversee project closeout, punch lists, warranty requirements, and final documentation.

A well-established and growing general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a diverse project background, particularly in restoration, federal, public, education, and general contracting.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more of the following:

    • Federal construction
    • Public works
    • Education/K-12 or higher education
    • Government or municipal projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders
  • Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required
