Real Floors Commercial, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Manager based in Raleigh, NC with travel to surrounding markets. You will act as the key liaison between flooring subcontractors, the Project Manager, and GC superintendents to maintain schedules, quality, and profitability on multiple projects.

The role requires 2+ years in commercial construction management, willingness to travel full-time, and strong organizational/communication abilities to coordinate across sites and teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a commercial Construction Manager (not residential).
• Willingness to travel full-time to other markets.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with all project stakeholders.
• In-market relationships with GC's or flooring crews a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support commercial construction projects ensuring profitability, quality, and timely completion.
• Travel full-time to other markets for training and/or project support.
• Coordinate with GC Superintendents, attend weekly project meetings, and oversee 2-3 Project Managers.
• Conduct site inspections, manage subcontractors, and ensure all project documentation is accurate.
• Oversee material staging, security, and ensure punch list completion with GC approval.
• Handle change orders, progress billing, and update project software (ProCore, BuildPro).

TITLE: Commercial Construction Manager - Flooring

REPORTS TO: Director of Commercial Construction

LOCATION: Raleigh, NC (+ travel to surrounding markets)

PAY RANGE: $60,000 - $70,000 DOE

After a probationary period, a company vehicle will be provided. Must have a valid Driver License & clean driving record.

This position will require consistent travel outside of North Carolina to other markets.

JOB OVERVIEW

The commercial Construction Manager (CM) is the vital link between the commercial construction project, commercial flooring subcontractors, and the Project Manager (PM). The Construction Manager role is similar to that of a field superintendent.

In addition to maintaining the workflow/schedule, overseeing the commercial flooring installation and fostering positive partner relationships on the project, the commercial CM gathers vital information about the commercial construction project, materials and commercial flooring installation and relays that information back to the Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and support commercial construction projects ensuring profitability, quality, and timely completion.
• Travel full-time to other markets for training and/or project support.
• Coordinate with GC Superintendents, attend weekly project meetings, and oversee 2-3 Project Managers.
• Conduct site inspections, manage subcontractors, and ensure all project documentation is accurate.
• Oversee material staging, security, and ensure punch list completion with GC approval.
• Handle change orders, progress billing, and update project software (ProCore, BuildPro).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience as a commercial Construction Manager (not residential construction).
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel full-time temporarily outside of North Carolina.
• An energetic "go getter" who takes initiative and values doing things right the 1st time
• Highly organized with an eye for details
• Strong follow-up and communication skills with all external and internal players of commercial construction projects.
• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is a plus, but is not required.
• Existing in-market relationships with commercial construction GC's and/or commercial flooring installation crews is a plus.
