Wings Credit Union in Minnesota is seeking a Commercial Construction Loan Specialist to manage end‑to‑end processing for construction-to-permanent and stand‑alone loans. You will coordinate draws, reviews, inspections, and lien monitoring while ensuring regulatory compliance and borrower satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in construction lending, a related Bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of lending policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, construction management, project management, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial construction lending, construction administration, loan servicing, or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of lending policies and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documents to ensure construction terms, budgets, and funding requirements are accurately established.
• Coordinate project setup within loan servicing and/or construction loan management systems.
• Review and approve complex draw requests aligned with milestones, budgets, and inspections.
• Validate percentage of completion calculations and remaining funds availability.
• Monitor lien waivers, title updates, and collateral protection requirements.
• Review project budgets for cost overruns and identify potential risks, escalating concerns.
• Ensure compliance with loan covenants and construction loan agreements.
• Serve as point of contact for borrowers, contractors, title companies, and inspectors.
• Provide guidance on draw procedures, documentation, and project expectations.
• Participate in audits, QC reviews, and pipeline reporting.
• Maintain records of inspections, funding approvals, and status updates.
• Assist management with portfolio analytics and risk reporting.
