Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is seeking a construction internship candidate in Seattle to support project delivery and coordination across teams. You will assist with subcontractors, material tracking, and document control while engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.

The program runs for 10 weeks with a ~40-hour work week. You should be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business and demonstrate strong communication and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Undergrad/grad student in construction, engineering, or business.
• Prior internship/volunteer/work is a plus.
• Passion for construction and general contracting.
• Available to work ~40 hours/week for 10 weeks.
• Familiar with Procore, BlueBeam, and MS Office 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Support various aspects of project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors and supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control processes, including drafting submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Support the preparation of bid packages and assist in soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Aid in progress reporting and updates for internal teams and client communication.
• Assist with jobsite responsibilities such as reviewing construction drawings, verifying site conditions, coordinating trades, and supporting safety and quality control efforts.
• Engage in networking and social events, professional development opportunities, educational classes (including software training), and corporate responsibility initiatives.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university within construction, engineering, or business concentrations.
• Previous industry internship, volunteer work, or work experience is a plus.
• Passion for construction and the general contracting industry.
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office 365 (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Procore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
• Exceptional customer and client focus with ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Base salary range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour (may vary by location).
