Job summary

Earll Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for ground-up projects, renovations, remodels, and tenant improvements.

The Estimator will work with management, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients throughout the bidding and preconstruction process. The ideal candidate reads drawings and specifications, performs detailed quantity takeoffs, develops cost breakdowns and SOVs,

Qualifications

• Must have commercial construction estimating experience (3–5 years preferred).
• Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bid analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam; experience with estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare project estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and scope sheets.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and SOVs.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, and risks.
• Prepare bid clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and current pricing.
• Assist with preliminary schedules and project turnover to operations.
