AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client that delivers commercial interior construction services in Knoxville. We seek a Commercial Construction Estimator to own quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, and bid preparation for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related interior scopes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of direct estimating experience in commercial interiors, can read plans, develop complete estimates from drawings and specs, and communicate

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of direct estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Experience in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or interior finishes preferred.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and develop complete estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for interior commercial projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings to determine material and labor requirements.
• Calculate labor costs, material quantities, equipment needs, and expenses.
• Review bid documents and identify risks, exclusions, and cost impacts.
• Solicit supplier quotations to support accurate estimates.
• Develop bid proposals with pricing, scope inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify requirements.
• Use estimating software and spreadsheets to organize takeoffs and maintain bid docs.
• Review estimates for accuracy and alignment with specs and deadlines.
