Job summary

AlphaGov seeks an experienced Commercial Interior Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial interior projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop detailed bid packages.

The role requires experience with drywall, metal framing, ceilings, flooring, and related trades, plus proficiency with estimating software. Strong math, coordination with teams, and meeting deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years estimating experience in commercial interior construction.
• Direct estimating experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring or related trades.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans, specs, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam/PlanSwift/OST.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subs.
• Review drawings and specs to establish scope and quantities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor and equipment costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals for pricing and coverage.
• Develop competitive bid packages with scope, exclusions and options.
• Coordinate with project teams to clarify scope and resolve pricing questions.
• Maintain estimating records, bid logs, and cost databases.
• Monitor market conditions and update estimates accordingly.
