Estimator

Reports To: President

Level 4 Construction is a growing commercial contractor that leverages experience to proactively meet client needs. We seek proactive, accountable, invested, transparent, and resourceful individuals to expand our team.

The estimator is responsible for managing and executing all estimating duties for our commercial construction projects, which include medical offices, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, institutional, religious, multi-tenant, retail, educational, and general commercial projects. We employ various delivery methods such as single prime contracts, design-bid-build, and cost-plus contracts. All employees are expected to actively participate in our Safety & Health program.

Estimator Duties

1. Meet with clients to determine project needs and develop a scope of work that exceeds expectations.
2. Collaborate with design partners to determine initial code requirements and organize projects into Level 4 systematic format.
3. Assemble bid documents and issue Invitations to Bid to subcontractors and material suppliers.
4. Request necessary bonds.
5. Complete bid forms and all estimating functions, including submission of bid proposals.
6. Develop work scopes and bid packages for design-build projects from concept drawings.
7. Assemble bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers, managing the bid process.
8. Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing.
9. Prepare budget estimates from limited concept drawings.
10. Complete proposals and RFP responses based on detailed drawings and specifications.
11. Present estimates and proposals to clients.
12. Update budget estimates as projects progress through design phases, as requested.
13. Integrate estimates with accounting software.
