About the Role:

We are partnered with a well-established and rapidly growing commercial drywall contractor seeking an experienced Estimatorto lead and oversee drywall projects throughout the Hartford, CT area. This is a full-time, salaried position offering excellent compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities for a driven professional ready to make a strong impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for drywall, metal framing, insulation, and ceiling systems.

• Compile and submit competitive bids or proposals for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Solicit and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive rates and comprehensive scope coverage.

• Identify exclusions, clarifications, and opportunities for cost savings or alternatives to optimize project value.

• Use digital takeoff software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid) to perform precise measurements and develop detailed cost breakdowns.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in drywall estimating or a related field (framing, ceilings, interior finishes)

• Familiarity with various @types of commercial projects (e.g., healthcare, retail, office, ground-up, tenant fit-outs).

• Strong working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and QuickBid.

• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred but not always required).

• Valid driver’s license.
