Construction Estimator Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Estimator. Our company works on commercial construction projects, so familiarity with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines is essential. Your responsibilities include analyzing construction plans and documents and providing comprehensive cost proposals for potential clients. All estimates must comply with relevant governmental regulations. Excellent communication skills are required to present estimates effectively to stakeholders and clients.

Construction Estimator Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects
2. Verify that vendor and subcontractor estimates align with the project scope
3. Develop estimates considering all insurance requirements
4. Maintain client confidentiality

Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications

• Associates degree in a relevant field (preferred but not required)
• Prior experience as an estimator and general contractor
• Proficiency with cost estimating software
• Knowledge of construction practices, costs, and procedures
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management
• Drafting experience and ability to read construction documents
• Familiarity with Google Office Suites and Excel is a plus
