Irwin H. English Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter Foreman to oversee carpentry tasks on various commercial construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating other carpenters, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed according to blueprints and project schedules. You will be required to adapt to changes in weather, material deliveries, and personnel, ensuring successful project execution. If you have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction and a strong understanding of carpentry work, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Read and interpret complex blueprints to perform project layouts and solve on-site problems.
• Perform all aspects of construction layout, especially framing, in accordance with project prints and specifications.
• Monitor job site progress and adherence to contracted work, reporting any deviations or changes in scope.
• Assist in the scheduling of personnel and determining staffing needs for assigned projects.
• Communicate material needs, deliveries, and timing for projects with the office and supervisors.
• Coordinate daily tasks for carpenters and laborers on-site, ensuring all team members understand their duties.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring clear communication on progress and challenges.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction and carpentry.
• Ability to effectively manage workers and clearly communicate project scope.
• Proficient in reading and comprehending blueprints, including layouts, details, and sections.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to site conditions and prints.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and own tools.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients and site contacts.
