Job summary

Miller & Miller Inc in Huntsville is seeking a skilled carpenter for commercial construction projects. The role involves building rough wooden structures, reading blueprints, and using power tools at heights as needed.

Applicants should have 1 year commercial construction carpenter experience (or 3 years residential), a valid ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety. wage is negotiated based on experience; EOE.

Qualifications

• 1 year commercial construction carpenter experience or 3 years residential construction carpenter experience preferred.
• Bridge experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow blue-prints preferred.
• May be required to work at elevated heights.
• Position requires use of skill saw, sander and other power tools.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs. and read a tape.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
• Must have means to get to job

Responsibilities

• Build rough wooden structures per sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
• Erect vertical/horizontal forms, walls, doors and window framing, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a drug-free work environment.
• Travel to and work at various job sites as required.
