Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Wenatchee, WA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with Mission Critical and Data Center experience to lead project delivery from preconstruction through final closeout.

You will coordinate with project managers, field teams, design partners, and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals while overseeing complex MEP coordination, procurement, and documentation. On-site role with strong communication and organizational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar commercial construction role.
• Prior experience supporting Mission Critical or Data Center construction projects.
• Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, contracts, and project financials.
• Familiarity with complex MEP systems and coordination for installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Ability to work on site in Wenatchee, WA.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor scope reviews, buyout, contracts, and change orders.
• Track project costs, commitments, pay applications, and budget updates.
• Coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Support coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including power distribution, backup power, cooling, and controls.
• Track long-lead equipment and material deliveries against installation milestones.
• Assist with commissioning readiness, inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Uphold HITT’s safety and quality standards throughout the project.

Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager - Mission Critical Job Description: HITT Contracting is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with Mission Critical and Data Center construction experience to support our team in Wenatchee, Washington.

The Assistant Project Manager supports the delivery of complex data center projects from preconstruction through final closeout. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, section RCW 49.58.110, the base salary range for this position is: $77,000.00 - $110,000.00. Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
