HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Executive in Seattle to manage projects from discovery through implementation.

You will lead teams, ensure safety, and drive contract negotiations with clients, while monitoring progress and quality controls on healthcare and other commercial builds. The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction, a degree in construction/engineering/business or equivalent experience, and strong proficiency with ProCore, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Healthcare construction project experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred; if no degree, additional work experience accepted.
• Previous project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficiency with construction drawings and software (e.g., ProCore, BlueBeam, JD Edwards, Excel).

Commercial Construction Project Executive Job Description: The Project Executive role is to effectively manage both small and large scale projects from discovery and design to development and implementation. A Project Executive is responsible for all of the duties performed by the Project Manager as well as the following:

Responsibilities

• Maintains adherence to HITT’s standards of safety
• Ensures the all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies
• Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients
• Monitors the progress of each project through updated schedules
• Ensures that the project Quality Control Plan is followed
• Assists that project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors
• Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel both within the project team and throughout the company
• Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed
• Acquires new work as well as maintaining existing clients
• Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community
• Ensures timely completion of closeout process
• Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources
• Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
• Prior healthcare construction project experience required
• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred. In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously
• Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards
• Mastery of reading construction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, and updating construction project-related drawings
• Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
• Knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends
• Must demonstrate a strong ability to: Carry oneself as a leader and knowledge holder of the project while facilitating the decision-making process
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, section RCW 49.58.110, the base salary range for this position is: $148,000.00 - $198,000.00 Compensation in other cities and states may vary.

The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
