HITT Contracting is seeking an Industrial Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to help deliver projects on time and within budget. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, budget management, and coordinating with site teams to meet quality standards.

You will support pre-construction, scheduling, RFPs, meetings, and closeout, while growing under a beginner-level leadership track. Candidates should have 2–5 years of commercial construction experience and strong communication, data

• High school diploma required, four-year degree preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience acceptable.
• 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction; previous experience on commercial job sites preferred.
• Strong communication, data interpretation and collaboration skills; ability to adapt to changing technology and processes.

The APM is responsible to protect and promote the interest of both the business and client in all matters as well as demonstrate the personal characteristics of a beginner-level leader. While learning paths, growth and promotional opportunity vary, most team members are APMs for two to six years.ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safetyEnsure that required documentation is filedAssist in creating and managing project budget for all assigned projectsDevelop pre-construction RFP packageAssist in conducting project meetings, setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reportEstablish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change ordersUpdate project schedule; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logisticsAssist in managing the closeout processCollaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the projectQualificationsHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferredIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPrevious experience on commercial job sites strongly preferredPassion for construction and our industry; ability to recognize and seek qualityAbility to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex.
