Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for GovCloud projects in Columbus, OH. You will obtain, evaluate, coordinate and distribute information to keep projects on time, on budget and to quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam and JD Edwards. We offer a competitive package and paths for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction with a general contractor.
• Experience on commercial job sites preferred; strong interest in construction.
• Must demonstrate clear, professional written and verbal communication; quality focus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam and JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards on all projects.
• File and manage required documentation.
• Assist in budgeting for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in project meetings, milestones, and owner reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Update schedules and ensure quality control and logistics.
• Assist in project closeout and coordinate with site team.
