Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to help drive projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will work with the site operations team to manage budgets, schedules, and documentation while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, a four‑year degree in construction, engineering, or business, and proficiency with ProCore, Microsoft Office, and related software tools.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of commercial construction experience is preferred.
• Degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; alternatives welcome.
• Familiarity with project controls, budgeting, scheduling and document controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to HITTs standards of safety
• Ensure that required documentation is filed
• Assist in creating and managing project budget for all assigned projects
• Develop pre-construction RFP package
• Assist in conducting project meetings, setting milestones and formulating monthly owner report
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders
• Update project schedule; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics
• Assist in managing the closeout process
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project
