Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete on commercial projects. You will build and install forms for floors, walls, columns, tilt-up and other cast-in-place structures, and help place reinforcing steel.

Applicants must read drawings, set forms to elevations, use plumb bob, laser, and rulers, and communicate with foremen about materials, safety hazards, and scheduling. Safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• :read and understand drawings and prints.
• :build and assemble forms for concrete structures.
• :set forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel.
• :set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• :verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser, or digital transit.
• :erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground work.
• :communicate with foreman or project manager regarding problems or needs.
• :ensure equipment is safe and in good condition.
• :assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• :observe safety policies and guidelines.
• :perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and prints to determine formwork requirements.
• Build and assemble wood/metal forms for concrete components.
• Set forms to elevations; assist in placing reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms with symon systems and other materials.
• Verify accuracy using plumb bob, level, laser, and transit.
• Assemble scaffolding and access equipment.
• Communicate issues to foreman or project manager; coordinate materials.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained safely.
• Assist with concrete placement as needed.
• Follow safety policies and guidelines.
