Job summary

Deep Science Ventures seeks a Commercial Co-Founder to co-create a venture addressing nutrient delivery for weed control in crops. You will partner with the technical founder to take this from pre‑incorporation to Series A and beyond, turning major agri-input relationships into commercial agreements and raising capital to scale.

This is a ground-floor co-founder role with potential evolution into CEO or other C‑suite positions. The venture starts remote, with on-site in San Diego post spin‑out.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial leadership experience in agri-inputs or tightly related regulated industries.
• Track record of taking crop inputs to market through channels to farmers.
• Experience raising funding and closing early commercial deals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and convert relationships with major fertiliser and agri-input companies into commercial partnerships.
• Develop and execute route-to-market strategy to translate partnerships into farmer adoption.
• Validate techno-economic and commercial business models.
• Lead fundraising efforts, investor relations, and closing rounds.
• Contribute to company strategy as a core founding team member.
• Build and lead the commercial team as the venture scales.
