Job summary

J&J Worldwide Services in Wilson, NC seeks a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner to perform basic cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You will ensure cleanliness of assigned areas and maintain safe storage of supplies.

The position requires a 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday shift; candidates should have at least 2 years in facilities/custodial work and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
• Minimum of 2 years of custodial/maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas as designated
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, towels, tissues and soap
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage areas, hallways and restrooms
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment; move furniture as needed
• Clean windows and mirrors with standard cleaners
• Follow safety procedures for chemicals and equipment
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
• Follow established work routines and procedures

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you willbe responsible forbasic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You willbe responsible forensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Primary Job Functions

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the buildingdesignatedby the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure areaat all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

What you'll need:

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred

License/Certification

• Preferred: No specific certifications required
• Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $15.50. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits that can include but not limited to medical, well-being, financial planning and short-term incentives benefits.
