H&G Systems in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking an experienced Commercial Chiller Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair centrifugal chillers and large commercial HVAC systems at critical facilities across Texas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing centrifugal chillers and/or large commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification; Texas TDLR License.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain centrifugal chillers and large‑tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system assessments.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial Chiller Service Technician, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair centrifugal chillers and large commercial HVAC systems at some of the region's most critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain centrifugal chillers and large‑tonnage HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls‑related issues
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system assessments
• Complete equipment startups, commissioning, and warranty service
• Service and support chilled water systems and associated components
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Complete digital service reports accurately and thoroughly
• Communicate findings and recommendations professionally with customers
• Maintain safety standards and company quality expectations on every job

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing centrifugal chillers and/or large commercial HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Experience with major chiller manufacturers, including:
  • York
  • Trane
  • Carrier
  • Daikin
  • Johnson Controls
  • Or similar equipment
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Current Texas TDLR License
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Factory training from major chiller manufacturers
• Experience with VFDs, building automation systems, and controls integration
• Experience supporting hospitals, industrial facilities, data centers, or mission‑critical environments
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
