Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy, a leading HVAC and energy infrastructure contractor, seeks a skilled HVAC technician for central plant and chiller maintenance. You will perform testing, commissioning, and preventative maintenance, while supporting repairs and on-call emergency coverage.

The role requires a journeyman level background with 5 years in commercial/industrial air conditioning, plus EPA certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC with 5 years of work experience.
• Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of chillers, HVAC and central plants.
• HVAC large tonnage field experience required.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be available for emergency on-call rotations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
• Availability for emergency service calls on-call through normal rotation.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all related equipment.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all on-site equipment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and comply with safety policies.
• Work with Chiller Field Supervisor on opportunities or issues.
