Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking a journeyman HVAC technician with commercial/industrial experience in California. The role involves maintaining and repairing central plant equipment, including large chillers, and performing preventive maintenance and on-site troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include on-call emergency service rotation, start-ups, completions, and coordinating with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of journeyman-level experience in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• EPA certification is required.
• Knowledge of chiller, HVAC, and central plants is required.
• HVAC large tonnage field knowledge is required.
• Must be available for emergency service calls on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot on-site equipment.
• Schedule and manage site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on related equipment.
