The Department of Revenue - Motor Vehicle Division in Pierre, SD is seeking a Commercial Carrier Agent to educate interstate motor carriers on registration, titling, licensing, Fuel Taxation, and related programs such as IRP and IFTA. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.

You will process titles and licenses, issue plates and decals, handle billing and payments, and educate carriers while ensuring compliance.

Formación

• Experience with high-volume customer service environments.
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Process vehicle titles for motor carrier units and ensure correct taxation.
• Receive, audit, and process license applications for proper registration and fee billing.
• Issue license plates, temporary and permanent credentials, and decals per program guidelines.
• Process fee billings, refunds, and payments to keep accounts accurate and up to date.
• Interact with carriers and licensing agents to educate, answer questions, and resolve problems.
• Review business records to ensure compliance with programs.
• Conduct educational seminars to Motor Carriers and other businesses.
